Walking along the shoreline away from the light .
It had been hidden from sight .
Slowly pausing , my feet upon he sand , I turned around to see the beautiful shifting
in the sky .
The water calm and shimmering and the clouds giving way to the sun’s light
like a delicate dance heading into the night .
It’s so often right in view . The glorious beauty and mystery of life interwoven with past, present and future into one thread . That thread connects us all . The layers of living moving through time and space as one and yet still all at once .
The beauty and the mystery forever intertwined in each breath .
The water invites one’s woes to be carried away ,
as it lightens the spirit and frees ancient aches so that they soar into the heavens .
Relentless rains and their density are something to beware . Their heaviness can be
dreamt away .
The ocean waves and river’s flow tell their stories to our souls . They speak a language
recognizable to our hearts and invite a dance from the depths of our breath into
sacredness .
Freedom without knowledge , freedom without wisdom , freedom without compassion . What does it create ?
Without an anchor to your soul and distance from your fears any fool can envelope you in a blanket of their tall tales and drag you along on their crazy lies .
Freedom to create a life that you’ve dreamed …Oh but wait not if they say “No”.
So you go …somewhere and start doing something thinking that this is what must be . And the men at the top talk passionately of freedom , your freedom , as they take it all away. You hear the passion not the meaning and it’s all so exciting . The energy and the community that help you to feel oh so strong grabs you hard , so hard that you forget that it’s lies .
Remember …remember that we all have the right to be .
A wild horse stands tall and calm while shadows from the clouds above move across his frame . Uneven terrain outstretched for miles rugged and beautiful and flickering with warm tones of color . The definition of strength seen in the horse’s musculature speaks of a noble history . The beauty is elegant and somehow soothing to see .
You may run as you please dear wild one . Run and run with wind blowing through your mane . The power of your spirit echoing throughout fields and hills all around . The scents of pine and sage and the remnants of a sun filled day linger in the air as you choose your resting place for the long night ahead .
Star filled sky becoming visible and the lullaby songs of the night begin as you settle in beneath an ancient tree . Sweet rest dear wild one until the new adventure begins again ….
The roaring dragon breathes life into the sleeping darkness . Startling the calm . Startling the love . And startling the hopefulness .
The roaring dragon breathes fire into storms of embers . Suddenly they are spreading and blowing every which way . Fire spreading , fear rising up like a volcano erupting .
The hearts and souls of warriors that live for a better way , for illumination in the dark , gather their resolve to free the world of the roaring dragon .
The destruction caused is filled with trickery and many pledge allegiance to the fire of the dragon .
The fires from this dragon will be cast out and be forever altered by a mighty ocean wave . And as the moon and the stars give power to the ocean so too will the warriors give light to the darkness and begin to heal the fears .
Intertwined and separate . We come together in laughter and in tears .
Joy in unexpected moments arrive like fuel for whatever the next hurdle may be .
And occasional moments of quiet appear when we miss the landing of understanding by
an inch or so .
She just became a bride and then a wife and so beautifully with trust .
I witnessed her light .
And it’s invitation to a new adventure both powerful and serene .
